16 books to inspire your direct sales business

Are you a reader? I used to be, and I'd like to be again, but I have trouble finding the time to get myself 'hooked' into a new book. It has always seemed so daunting a task to build reading time into my schedule.

My husband is in the military and is away this month on a tasking. Since he's been gone I've been having trouble falling asleep at night - my mind has just been racing! Once I noticed the pattern, my first impulse was to Google 'ways to fall asleep faster' and a whole bunch of articles popped up recommending that I try reading. So, I've been intentional to work in a little romantic fiction time, a few minutes before bed each night. It seriously works!

Beyond fiction, my favourite style of book to read is Business/Leadership and Motivation. I have trouble reading books from this genre before bedtime because they usually trigger some mad inspiration and cause me to dream and 'envision' in a wild way - a little bit counter-productive. I'll have to save these books for the bus ride or lunch break moments when I have the ability to jot down my big ideas and goals.

One of the stylists on my upline team recently started a great discussion thread in our team Facebook group, asking about recommended reads in the following genres:
  • Business/Leadership
  • Direct Sales
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Motivation
The list just started growing, and growing! I've compiled all of the suggestions (and added a few of my own) here for your quick reference:

There are some great reads on this list. I highly recommend that you take a few minutes to browse and skim a few synopses if you're in the market. None of the titles mentioned apply exclusively to Stella & Dot stylists either, so if you know of any other entrepreneurs or direct sales reps that might benefit I encourage you to spread the love!

Tell me! Have you read any inspiring books lately? How has it helped you build your business? Leave me a note in the comments below.
